Shop Assistant

Part time · Weekends + flex weekday hours · Midtown Bramble & Bloom

About the role

Midtown Bramble & Bloom is a small flower farm and floral studio looking for a reliable, friendly shop assistant to join our weekend team. This isn’t a temporary gig — we’re looking for someone who wants to stick around, learn the rhythm of the shop, and become a dependable part of how we run.

You’ll be the face of the shop on weekends, keeping things running smoothly for customers and the team. No floral experience needed — if you’re a people person who takes pride in their work and shows up when they say they will, we can teach you the rest.

Position details

  • Hours: Weekends (Saturday and Sunday), Wednesday afternoons, plus occasional other weekday hours as needed (12-16 hours per week total)

  • Location: In-shop, Midtown Memphis

  • Pay: $15.00 per hour to start

  • Age requirement: 18+

  • Start date: ASAP

What you’ll do

  • Welcome and assist customers — help them find what they need, answer questions, process sales

  • Keep the shop clean, tidy, and well-presented throughout the day

  • Water, rotate, and care for flowers and plants on the floor

  • Restock and maintain displays

  • Help with flower processing and prep as needed

  • Assist with deliveries and order fulfillment on occasion

  • Pitch in for busy periods, events, and anything else the team needs

  • Trustworthy and responsible working independently

  • Friendly and comfortable with customer-facing work

  • Takes pride in keeping a space clean and well-organized

  • Flexible and willing to help wherever needed

  • Looking for something beyond a summer job — we want someone who wants to grow with us

  • Must be 18 or older

Experience

Prior retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required. We’ll train the right person. An interest in plants, flowers, or gardening is always a plus.
